Fred Ettish & Joe Son Do.

Fred Ettish was the poster boy for why 'traditional' martial arts don't work in MMA. I remember him walking to the ring all decked out in his gi, the proud sixth degree black belt in Kempo Karate... only to step into the ring and get smucked by Johnny Roades - a crappy old boxer.

Joe Son Do, although I loved his crazy style, just wasn't as good a fighter as he was a showman.

dont know fighters but the ref for UFC 5 ( i think)

who stood on the side of one of the fighters while he was getting punched in the face...the entire time the guy is tapping out with the hand on the opposite side...needless to say he doesnt ref anymore...the replay showed the guy took 9 more punches to the face than he should have
