  • Has anyone ever been choked out in the UFC?

I haven't had a chance to see every UFC but has any of the fighters ever been choked out by another competitor?

    You mean, unconscious?

Not that I can remember. All have tapped.

Chuck Liddell was choked out by Jeremy Horn in one of them.

That was a wierd one; If the bell had come one or two seconds sooner Liddell might have made it on to the next round. I think that was the first UFC fight that Horn won.

          My favorite UFC is #4
Although there were no choke outs, it was a good one.

The match between Remco Pardeau (sp?) and Orlando Weit was awesome. Remco, got side mount and then did a few vicious elbows to the head of Orlando, instant KO.

And Pat Smith destroyed the face of, can't remember the guy's name, I think it was Scott Morris.
A Ninjitsu dude. Lots of blood.

Yes it was Scott Morris who got thoroughly pounded. As far as chokes go, it wasn't in the UFC, I think it was RINGS maybe, where Carlos Baretto got Kevin Randleman in a triangle choke. Randleman didn't tap but the ref stopped the fight once Randleman went limp. To his credit Randleman sat up immediatly afterward, so I don't know if he was ALL the way out, but he sure went limp.

Ol' Ron Van Clef looked a little confused after Royce choked him out in UFC 4. He may have been out for a second
              or two.

didn't ichihara go unconcious against royce in ufc2?
i vaugely remember someone else being unconcious at the end of a round and the ref not even noticing it, maybe a year or so ago. it was probably someone mentioned above.

I believe UFC 6 was the most explosive event
