That's awesome, man. It's sad nowadays that nobody wants to serve...I think its got to be one of the most honorable things a person could do, yet people look down upon them (that was a general statement, because I certainly look up to them). I'm thinking about POSSIBLY going into the service, either Army or Marines...but I'm not sure yet.

If you are smart, you'll go ROTC or go to college first.

Like my boy mushinmaster. He's at West Point.

Yea, I'm going to college first...I don't know if I could get into West Point of any of the academies, but I'm definitely going to a 4-year University...

I would advise that you go in as an officer if you can. Being a private was not at all fun.

I was in your shoes a year ago, now I'm sitting here with a $3,000 computer that I didn't pay for, wearing a tie, the shiniest pair of shoes anybody in my town has ever seen, and getting paid to get a first-rate education and state-of-the art training. You never know what will happen, just apply to everything - ROTC, NROTC, AFROTC, USAFA, USNA, USMA, and see what kinda cards you're dealt. There's always room for enlisted if none of that works.

Ask me any questions - I know about most of the programs, 'cuz I was thinking about doing any one of them. So far its been the best move of my life. Good luck!
