Yes, Pat Robertson and Billy Graham's daughter both said that evolution and gays and the lack of forced prayer in school is what is responsible for 9/11 and Katrina. I always recieve emails here at work from my conservative christian friends that make exactly those claims.

The attack on evolution is likely a politcal one based on the idea that many scientists are athiests putting mankind and man in first place (rather than God).

I'm secure in my belief in God at the same time, I try to keep myself updated with changes in science & technology. These developments serve as tools sometimes intangible in terms of new fundamental theories or sometimes tangible as in a new product. The fear that I would have with said developments are man's ability to exploit himself in unethical ways for profit. Its not the new theories or inventions that are of the devil, rather its the will of individuals who apply these things in unethical & evil ways.

Einstein once said that faith without science is ignorance and that science without faith is blindness. He was a man who believed in God, allbeit he had opinions that strayed from Biblical texts.

The Bible has wisdom that has been usefull and steady for over 2,000 years. There are other religions with texts as old or older, with great wisdom but at the end of the day you have to make a decision which faith you will follow. Its a spiritual decision.

Im just havin fun....christians are an easy target...the whole gig is what great people christians are, yet the reality is you're just people with beliefs...the bad eggs that every segment has just look really bad, its funny to this sicko....you sometimes make me feel guilty fer pickin on christians because you seem to be a good one...but then a christian with power and money opens his mouth and i remember that capable martial artist are like good christians, lost in the crowd of babbling idiots who proclaim to be something they aint for all the wrong reasons.
