To destroy the image of what you may think of Wallid from interviews, photos and videos, Wallid is a very quiet and almost shy guy in person.

He's good friends with our instructor, Rey Diogo and comes to our school every once in a while.

If you never knew anything about MMA, BJJ or any martial arts and were to meet Wallid, you'd think, nice guy but damn those ears are ugly, how'd that happen?

I guess I don't mean him any harm. But I do hate the way he always looks at the camera when doing technical shots, and surely he wants more to his reputation that "I once beat Royce Gracie".

I'll make him a deal. If he cuts his ears off, glues up his mouth and then wears a lead mask I will lay off him.

there are certain guys that, whenever you take their picture they will smile, scowl or make a goofy face.

With Wallid, he's from the school that if you are going to take my picture, I am going to look mean and UGLY!

But in real life, the guy is too cool.

He came by the school recently and was sitting back and instead of just hanging, he was coaching two guys near him that were training. I've seen lots of black belts pass through the schools I've belonged to and this is one of the rare instances that a black belt took the time to help out a few guys that needed some assistance.
How often does this happen at your schools with visiting BJJ guys?

          Ok Ok already......

How about he just wears the mask? Then I'll lay off him. Now I can't say fairer than that!
