  • A vote for Nader is NOT wasted! Important...

Some people say that a vote for Ralph Nader is wasted because he can't possibly win.

    BULLSHIT!

A vote for Nader is NOT wasted!

It is vitally important that the Green Party be able to get federal funding for the next election. The only way this can happen is if they get enough votes in THIS election!

No way man. Check it out...

      1. Ralph Nader is not for sale. Nader is the only candidate running a clean money campaign.

      2. Ralph Nader is a real reformer. During his 37-year career, he has been the driving force behind landmark pieces of legislation such as the Motor Vehicle Highway Safety Acts, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act and the Freedom of Information Act.

      3. Ralph Nader is the only candidate fighting for universal health care coverage now.

      4. Ralph Nader respects and will protect a woman’s right to choose when to have children.

      5. Ralph Nader strives to abolish child poverty in America. While Western European nations have all but eliminated child poverty, one in five American children lives in poverty.

      6. Ralph Nader is the only candidate who supports the repeal of the Taft-Hartley Act, “the chokehold on American labor.”

      7. Ralph Nader is the only candidate who would withdraw the United States from the WTO and NAFTA.

      8. Ralph Nader attacks racial discrimination.

      9. Ralph Nader opposes the failed War on Drugs. Nader believes that this policy has only amplified street crime.

      10. Ralph Nader is against the death penalty. Bush and Gore are for it.

      11. Ralph Nader fights corporate crime and welfare. Corporate crime kills far more people and costs taxpayers far more money than street crime. Corporate welfare siphons hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars away.

      12. Ralph Nader calls for an end to the economic sanctions on Iraq, which cause the deaths of 5000 children per month.

      13. Ralph Nader is the only candidate who supports equal rights.

      14. Ralph Nader protects family farms.

      15. Although the Cold War ended ten years ago, the Republicans and Democrats continue to fund unnecessary gold-plated weapons systems such as the unworkable anti-ballistic missile defense system and the unsafe Osprey fighter. Ralph Nader wouldn't.

      16. Ralph Nader supports a significant increase in the federal minimum wage and a living wage nationwide.

      17. Ralph Nader would end all commercial logging in our National Forests. The Federal Government subsidizes logging in the National Forests to the tune of 1.2 billion dollars annually.

      18. Ralph Nader would reshape our energy policy to favor clean energy technologies.

      19. Ralph Nader will protect your privacy. Never before has the privacy of American citizens been under such an invasion, from increased government surveillance to Internet commercial snooping to the sharing of personal medical records without your consent.

      20. Every vote for Ralph Nader is a vote towards the creation of a watchdog political party that will empower civic groups and send a clear message to the two major parties: “shape up or shrink down.”

Sounds like pretty good stuff to me.

        I doubt it.

You may think JB's stance on gun control not in keeping with a green party vote.

that is wrong. A green party vote is a vote for real democracy NOT corporate plutocracy.

The american people will not allow the Govt to take our guns away as long as we are in control of the govt.

The green party and Nader is the ONLY vote that aims to give power back to Joe Shmoe after taking it away from Joe Camel and all his buddies.

Wake up white people! (and people of all races creeds colors and classes)

the republicrats have got to go at all costs!

Tony10, i'm surprised at you. The same people that offed JFK have subverted our democracy! And you would vote for them?

I support the death penalty. That would be one of the main ideas that I dont agree with in Nader

              Fair enough.

But would you really let that one issue decide your vote?

Tony are you a supportor of Nader? I have to admit it. Im young and stupid. So I cant really make an educated opinon on any of the political parties or leaders until I learn something about them. That would include issues that they dont agree on, past history and such. Most of the information that was given to me on Nader is from an avid supporter therefore subject to a bias opinion. I rather reserve my judgement!

                  JB:

                  Why you cynical S.O.B.!

I saw you the other day dismissing Nader on an other thread!

You're just trying to eat into Gore's voting base by getting people to vote for Nader!

Geez, man. Do you really think you have that much influence over the political process?

Stick to BJJ and propagandizing. Subtlety is not your forte'.

ronin - you beat me to the punch!

JB is just trying his pathetic best to try to sidetrack potential votes from gore to nader. not that i blame him. if there was a decent coservative 3rd party candidate, i would be doing the same thing, but buchanan is a racist A$$HOLE, and harry brown just doesn't stand a chance, even though i am very fond of his TV commercials.

if you're thinking about voting for nader, be prepared to suffer the consequences of 4 yrs under the idiotic administration of GW BUSH!!! that is the difference in supporting nader vs. voting for nader. in reality, you have to suffer the real consequences of your actions!

                        ff:

Ditto your opinions on Buchanan, Bush, and Nader.

                        I am glad your code-name is tongue-in-cheek.

John Bennett is coming unglued at the idea of a Gore administration. I was almost as desperate after 12 years of Reagan/Bush.

                        "Trickle-down economics."

                        "Compassionate conservatism."

Someone please explain to me the difference.

It's too close to play around with 3rd-party candidates.

                            Perot, Nader, Buchanan...it's like a freaking side-show.

The only reason Nadar won't win this is because of people like you guys. Between yourselves who want to vote Nadar but won't because you don't want Bush and all the people that would but don't because they listen to you he would have a shot. Christ, I want to vote for the guy and you almost changed my mind!
