I was once doing a spinning heel kick but my heel didnt twirl properly causing me to twist it and shatter it completly. I now have a metal low leg bone!
Oh I forgot one Zyphoid Process dislocation.
I got this from a 3inch punch from my training partner.
I tore my Left hamstring sparring. I had a student that was leaving his hands down and not realizing in low contact sparring that he was getting hit a lot. So I did a spin heal kick to his head. He was about 6'3" and I was 5' 9' I hit him in the head with the kick and held it to his head. The freak thing was he did a spin side kick and it hit my kicking leg and drove it up over my head. Once my legt passed the full splits point there was a pop. Since I didn't fall down the muscle gave out instead. The leg dropped. It started to heal and 3 weaks later I tested for my full instrutorship and retore it. The doctors told me I would never have full use of it again. 5 years later I did get full use back, but my strength in the leg is low. I went from being able to do 300lb forced negative reverse leg curls down to less then 100lb regular reverse leg curls.
Second Hamstring Tear came from throwing kicks to a bag. My hip gave a bit and the muscle tore. The doctors were afraid I may have pulled parts of the bone apart. But luckily Xrays showed the bone was still intact. Still recovering from this tear.
Broke my hand freebreaking boards. (throwing boards into the air and breaking them unsupported.) I threw the board (1 inch thick by 12x12) but i got some spin on the board. I hit the board at full power but the contact surface was the 1 inch surface on my knuckle of my little finger. I ended up with a boxers fracture.
Black eye and severed nerve in face happened when I was training with a Pro Kickboxer. It was the first round of the night with him and we agreed to take it easy that night. First thing I got hit will was a big toe in my eye. My eye was okay, but it blackened up pretty quick. My face was numb on that side all the way to the lip. It stayed numb for about 6 months.
Dislocated tendon was in my foot. I was grappling and was in the mount the person was much larger than me and rolled over and got my foot under them and it tweaked my ankle. It was extremely painful and didn't go away for a long time I ended up wearing an air splint. I still grappled with it on. Then one day a similar thing happened and the tendon snapped back into place and the pain was gone.
