Why not grab the groin and squeeze or hit the adamsapple
On top of that most traditional MA aren't reallyy trained to take a hit, let alone multiple hits, most can take a lot of beating on the body but the head is something completely different but oh so crucial in real combat

And what... a boxer can't grab the groin or hit the adams apple... we would be all the more skilled at striking the adams apple as our specialty is striking with the hands, being accurate, powerful, and quick...

I personaly have gotton into a few all out combat matches with 1 of my instructers. Heh, being a white belt and taking down a Black Belt in full out combat is a lot of fun. I've also gotton into a few fights with another girl who trains in Hapkido. She's I think a Brown Belt. I've never lost a fight yet.

I have had a number of guys in my gym who are black belt and above in traditional styles and I haven't found them to be very competitive in sparring. Some of them were even medal-winning fighters in their own style. The most dangerous guys I have found so far are true MMA people, a Muay Thai instructor who I invited over to give a class (and his students who came with him) and a guy who was ranked second in ireland as a heavyweight boxer for the last three years.

I am not ruling out al traditional styles as I knew a guy back in Australia who was the Kyokushin karate champion and he was tough as nails (but only had two teeth left ). Any style where you regularly fight (in a realistic way)as part of your training is good.
