There certainly is some value to holding out as long as you can when working chokes. With a little practice you can wait till just the last minute to tap. It is pretty obvious when the choke is inevitable. When you know there is no chance to get out, or if you feel yourself starting to go, then tap. Most times there is enough time. I can only remember a couple of times when I did not have time to tap and I've been choked plenty!
I've been choked out a few times. The experience of dreaming while you're out and then the feeling of coming back are very trippy. It can't be good for you but everyone should try it once!
