Cho Ga (Cho Family) Wing Chun is a branch of non Yip Man Wing Chun founded by Cho On, a guy who immigrated to Malaysia. The branch is practiced mostly in Malaysia and Singapore (where I learned the basics).

Cho Ga is different from Hong Kong style Wing Chun in a number of ways. The forms are completely different. Elements of Hong Kong`s three forms (Siu lim tao, Chum Kiu, Biu Jee) are found in Cho Ga`s first form Siu Lin Tao. The second and third forms (Random Hitting form and Chase Hitting form) are completely different. Our Chi Sao is a bit different too - it`s kind of like a gaan-sau pattern, but we also practice HK style chi sao from time to time.

That said, the prinicples of the branches are fundamentally the same - Centre line, immovable elbow, economy of motion, etc.
