Something tells me Shimora smokes pot

Unless he really believes all that, which would be quite sad actually. I don't believe I've ever met anyone that stands that strongly against pot. But

Funny how pot isn't socially exceptable because its smoken while ciggs is according to Shimora. Also, saying Bob Marley is an idiot with half a brain was another good one. Unless he knows anything about music, he realizes Bob Marley probably did the least amount of drugs of any musician out there. Most musicians do venture off into drugs for inspiration. Thats what set apart the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan etc and made them legends.

One funny thing I read once was an interview with Rich Wright [Pink Floyd's keyboardist] in which he stated he never did drugs while playing music. I thought it was strange considering his playing was the most psychedellic out of the band members [minus Syd Barrett of course] then I realized he said, "while playing", not "while writing." So there you have it.

Shimora, its almost 4:20 out here in CA; I'm sure you're packing up a bowl as we speak...

      Shimora,

Although it's fun for you to get a rise out of us, I think it's pretty irresponsible for you to say that you have "medical evidence" that says tobacco is good for you...

If you want to be an a$$hole and stir up controversy for a good laugh, that's fine and it's your right to do so and everyone will just write you off as a troll anyway. But, to make outright fraudulent statements which could endanger someone's health is totally appalling.

It would be like me saying that there is no conclusive evidence that alcohol impairs someone's abilty to drive, therefore, you could get behind the wheel after a few beers without any problems...

You can continue to be an a$$hole troll if you want... nobody has any problems with it because it's all in good fun... but at least be a smart a$$hole...

I'm sure I'm just wasting my breath...

bjjstylist, since you came out of the closet in that Troll thread I have come to dislike you. Yes I am homophobic so sue me. I just dont like your kind coming to grappling forums and trying to get new recruits. Stick to your domination wrestling boards in future please.

You are showing your extreme ignorance by calling me an a$$hole for saying I have evidence that says cigs are good for you. As I clearly stated I said the evidence was from the 1920's & 30's. In that era smoking was very very fashionable. If I must prove it I will post some references
for you later. Any idiot only has to watch movies from the 30's & 40's to see how fashionable and socially acceptable it was. It is a fact proven by history that Medical beliefs change every 20 years or so. In 1950 Homosexuality was classed as a mental illness. Constant pressure by the pillow biter brigade made the psychiatrists vote to change this. After 3 elections the vote finally got passed to say being a fag was not an illness. Even then only 51% voted that way. Once homosexuality was no longer considered a mental illness the head doctors invented a new mental illness called "homophobia" so they could guarantee more regular patients coming through the door. If you are so naive as to believe the Doctors of Western medicine then more fool you.

Bob Marley did less drugs than those other guys? Give me a break. This thread is about MARIJUANA, not LSD or Speed. Marley smoked TONS more than those wannabee's like The Beatles and Pink Floyd. Once again, if you require proof of this I can provide it.

Even if he is trolling I'm gonna adress this for people that actually do think like him...Marley did smoke tons of pot, and maybe it did rot half his brain, but, like someone stated earlier, weed should not be used in excess just like everything else. If you smoke once, twice or three times a week your not going to turn into an idiot. You can smoke everyday when you get home from work and you still won't turn into an idiot. Its the people who smoke everyday from sun up to sun dow and beyond that turn into spaced out morons. Look at people who drink all day every day. Afew years of that will kill ya' easily. The people who do abuse pot everyday won't die as quickly or be as much of a danger to society. Face it, its not as dangerous as the anti-marijuana people say it is. Learn that last sentence well, love it, live it, its the truth.

budddy pot is not that bad and it is true about the hemp paper. How is pot so bad for you, it's non-addictive, It's less dammaging than cigs, and it doesn't lead to loss of motovation and other things. Lighten up and take a ****ing hoot.

                        Joe Manco:

The fact that you agree with Shimora more and more these days is testament to your diminishing level of mental stability.

Take the Prozac. You'll feel better.

                            You guys are in denial

"Medical tests have proved beyond a doubt that Marijuana is extremely addictive and bad for your health. It has no positive qualities whatsoever." -Shimora

I couldn't agree more. You guys really should listen to him. Anyway, I've already posted my thoughts in a previous marijuana thread, but I guess I can repeat the same thoughts again just to see what you guys have to say...

I can see how the use of certain drugs could help the sick, but by legalizing it to the public, anybody would be able to use it. When I grow up and have kids, they'll be living in a generation created by decisions made today. If we legalized pot, they'll be growing up in a generation of stoners (obviously larger scale then the 60's ).

Also, do you guys know how the country used to be? Back in the days, the county's morals were different. Back then, sex and drugs were taboo. Now we now live in a world where everybody is candid about it- and all of a sudden there's an increase in violence. Thankfully, the government's laws have conformed.

                              Ryan,

Please refer to the statistics I've posted earlier. Many government and medical agencies from around the world have reported that the dangers of marijuana use have been greatly over-exaggerated. These are INTERNATIONAL government and medical agencies. Only in the United States do we have such stringent and unfitting laws for marijuana.

I find it quite disturbing that many of those who argue against the legality of marijuana find only the doctors, scientists and lawmakers in the United States to be qualified enough to make a judgements on marijuana. It is not a coincidence that only in the United States do we find such harsh penalties for marijuana use.

World and U.S. statistics consistently point to a trend which shows that marijuana use is NOT as dangerous as once thought, and that the current laws and punishments DO NOT fit the crime. There are reasons why marijuana is illegal today, but it has nothing to do with health or moral issues. It has to do with politics and big business. The sooner everyone realizes this, the sooner we can decriminalize marijuana, and start cultivating hemp again for industrial and environmental purposes.

Marijuana is only dangerous if it consumes your life. But then again, anything is dangerous if it consumes your life. There are many people in our country who use marijuana in a very responsible manner. These people should not be labelled criminals.

regardless of what medical findings you have, the war on drug has been a total failure, except in the goal of oppressing minorities. when the marijuana tax act of 1937 was originally passed, it was intended as a tool to oppress blacks, hispanics, and poor southern whites. to this day, both the laws and the enforcement of these laws is the greatest tool that the WASP(leaders of this country) have to kep themselves in power and to limit any callenge to their power by minorities.later!
