  • Best Bjj video series?

I know this should be posted in the video section but it looks like no one ever goes over there.

I have been looking for a Bjj school but have been unsucessful so far.I am looking into buying a video set to sharpen my skills until I can find a legit submission fighting or Bjj school.Panther is having a good deal on videos right now,its like 18 videos for only $250.

I'm looking to learn more chokes, arm locks, leg and ankle locks etc...So what tapes do you suggest? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Search for Bill Lewis's grappling video review site. bjj.org has a link to it also. This site will go over each tape in each series specifically and might help you select something you like. There are also new tapes by Igor Yamikov on Russian leg locks released by Paul Viele productions, which seems to release the best tapes. I think this one would be a good for a bjj guy to use against guys he trains with and catch them off guard with something new. That is, if he explains things well.
Bill's review of Gokor's and Egan's tapes are hilarious.

Mario Sperry and Pedro Charvalo's tapes are excellent:
moves per dollar and originality. I heard the wrestler killer tapes aren't bad either. Could be a good twist for a sparring edge.

          If you can find them...

Kukuk's A-Z deserves honorable mention, also. A friend of mine has them and from what I saw...well done. It seemed to progress (build upon) in a logical manner. Kukuk would show a move and Lowell would show a counter and vice-versa. I've looked a few places, but have yet to find the videos for sale.

          Peace

Bob Bass/Rick Williams tape series is supposedly one of the best out there. $299.00 for the whole series (12 Tapes). That and complement it with The Fighter's Notebook from submissionfighters.com...

Whatever you do, stay away from Cris Haueter's "Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Streetfighting" tapes. After seeing Bobby/Rickdog's tapes I thought another Machodo BB would be ok to see. Those tapes are just to weird. My girlfriend bought them for me 4 my birthday. That bitch, she should have got me some master series.

I should receive Mario's new tapes tomorrow. I'll let you know how they are.
