Hey, thanks for the welcome. I am a 27 year old studying Gracie Jiu Jitsu. last weekend Rener Gracie stayed over my house for the weekend. He was running a seminar at my school. It was a great time and it was frankly the best seminar I have ever been to. It's hard to believe he is just 19 years old. Just a kid, ya'know. Although standing at 6 foot 4 inches it's easy to forget that. But aside from that, like said before, it was a great seminar. Since you are in the area (kind of) you should go to the academy and train their a few times if you can. If you do, tell him the "moving G clan" is waiting to dominate the Pepperell basketball courts again!

thanks for the welcome everyone, well i started ma at about 8 yrs old with tkd from a great korean master, after a few yrs i moved location and the other tkd clubs in the new area were pathetic, no heavy contact sparring, etc.
i was looking for something different as i thought i was quite proficient with tkd, thats when i found traditional jj which was great as it was, imo much deadlier so to speak.
after about a year of that i played around with boxing for about 6 months.
last week i started training bjj under john will of machado bjj, who himself has taught chuck norris and special operations groups, he also teaches shoot fighting and has won many comps in no rules fighting, he is one of the "dirty dozen" which is the first 12 non brazilians to have been awarded a black belt in bjj.
so i am preety excited at the moment about the journey ahead of me.
