You gotta be joking. Now they gonna have world's best MW fighter fight Gracie guy with one fight?! That is sad man, sad.

Promoters are doing this 'cause for sure Japanese people enjoy watching local hero use "invincible" BJJ guys for hand wipes. Man this is better than WWF. Gracies are like team that has to play the Globetrotters. What happen next after Ryan get his ass handed to him? They gonna get Rockson in there?!!!

And Rickson too old now; not fair to ask him to fight or is it?

Ryan gonna come out of there on a platter with an apple in his mouth.

          Playa has it right!

How many times do we have to watch a Gracie or BJJ fighter get their ass kicked by Sak before they get an American in there.

Pride once again protects their golden boy from any real threats. This doesn't reflect my opinion on Renzo, because he's a top middle. But, Ryan's a nobody who beat a nobody. Sak will take his time and pick this undeserving challenger apart like he did to Royce and Royler.

Sak gets another Gracie head on the wall. Oh boy.....

          later....

There's always a first time for everyone. Just because Ryan is inexperienced doesn't automatically makes him lose to an experienced fighter. Mark Coleman has beaten the experienced Goodridge and Frye in his first time appearance in NHB. Mark Kerr as a rookie also destroyed Varleans who was obviously experienced. However, Coleman as a big experienced lost to Shammy's kid Williams. And the mighty Kerr lost to a Fugita as well. So my point is, experience is important but it's not that a big factor as to win a fight. Ryan is a Gracie and that he knows damn well what the fighting is all about. F@#k the experience! He will be ready and he will kick ass!!!!!!

              Sak will win

what makes Ryan so special? he is viscous? that doesn't help in a ring with rulz especially against someone as calm as sak.

no bats or biting in this fight.

would much rather see Sak fight Frankie.

                "what makes Ryan so special?"

Now that's the stupidest question I've ever heard in this place.
Ryan will win. Why? Because he is SPECIAL!!!!

Besides tiger69's love affair with Ryan and the gracies, do people think that Ryan is better than Royce or Renzo, both of whom lost to Sak fairly convincingly?

We don't need another Gracie to fight Sak, especially somebody unproven in NHB. For next year, I hope Sak fights Silva, Frank, Tito, Henderson, etc.

Haven't seen enough of Ryan to say how good he is...
I do think Royce is better than Renzo..

Anybody out there who are familiar with the gracies to add to Bau13's comments? I'm very interested to hear about Ryan's abilities from those who have worked out with him and Renzo, Royce, etc.

Ryan is an animal. He is just not an accomplished in sport JJ competiton which is no big deal as far as real skills are involved. Renzo even said that Ryan would be the new comer for the Gracies. He is the one that will continue the dominance of the Gracies until the next one appears. Ryan is the real deal, wait and see for yourself in the next fight!

But Renzo has publicly stated that Ryan is not ready for Sak. How is Ryan such a real deal? How do you "know" so much about Ryan Tiger69?

Let's get some facts or at least some objective observations here. I'm tired of unsubstantiated opinions. What are Ryan's striking abilities (not based only on the last fight)? How's his guard? How's his overall submission skills, etc.?

Ryan will prove his skill in the fight. Be patient, wait and see.

Ryan has great submission skilld from what I've heard.I don't think that once Ryan gets his fist flying theres much difference between him in a fight with rules or a street fight.Just to shut up the people that say that since Igor didnt knock Sak out that Ryan cant.It only takes one punch to knock out or daze a person ALLITE!!!!Wait and see,Ryan will prove that he is the REAL DEAL!!!
