i agree with both, heel hook and jules.
bjj was invented to counter every other fighting style.
on the street, in the ring, anywhere, anytime,
but people will always say wrestling or grappling on
the ground isn't effective, multiple opponents, weapons, blah blah.
common sense would tell you that,
1.use all your standing techniques first.
2.avoid going to ground.
3.if fight goes to ground you dont have to stay there.
4.once on the mount you would probably go for an arm bar (in competition), in a street fight once on the mount, just adjust your game, elbows, head butts, etc
5. obviously get up a.s.a.p and check your situation
6. baseball bats, multiple opponents, knives, whatever style you do, you are going to be in trouble.
what i'm trying to say is, there is no perfect m.a for the street with all those different scenarios, you just have to street fight.
boxing or mt for stand up
tkd for great kicks(real korean tkd)
shoot fighting or judo for take downs
bjj(while pounding) for complete ground work.
just my 2 cents
