I posted my comments on a different post on Sapp verses Tyson.. thats not much a fight for Tyson

But for Tyson in K-1 in general? it all depends on the rules of the fight

See tyson is a risk taker regardless, he likes to do insane things and doesnt give himself very good advice. Tyson most likely wouldnt mind getting in the ring with kicks enabled.. then feel stupid in the long run because.. thats when he's really going to get his ass handed to him

Without the kicks and all.. I thin ktyson will knock out MANY people .. But lets not doubt tyson.. it doesnt take long to learn a few foot techniques.. he doesnt even have to perfect them..

he can get his legs in shape.. toss a kick or 2.. just land one and it'll make a difference

I think he'll more than successful

Tyson is very physical and more importantly agressive. If he gets a good grappling instructor he could be devastating in the MMA world.

Against a fighter without technique at all like Sapp, I believe Tyson most likely will beat him relatively easy.

That's why I don't like this match beeing promoted as the ultimate test to see if boxing is the ultimate martial art. Tyson vs CroCop instead, now there would be a test to see a comparasion between two of the most talented fighters in both disciplines.

              Tyson is

a fearsome fighter, he will be formidable anywhere, however a smart K-1 fighter should beat him.
Just dont play to his strenghts.

considering how well Sapp did in K-1, i have no reason to believe that Tyson would do worse than sapp.. if anything he will do better.

I hate to burst some of y'all's bubbles. Tyson doing K-1 is like Vince Carter or Kobe Bryant joining the Canadian Basketball Association. A couple of thai kicks won't matter; a single jab from Tyson will scare the hell out of his K-1 opponents who will have never felt anything like that before. An uppercut or cross from him will easily send them into outer space. Easily.
Anyone think Riddick Bowe's comeback is worth considering?

I agree with the spirit of your post, but how can you possibly put Vince in the same sentence with Kobe? Vince is terrible. And the Canadians aren't so bad...I mean they have Steve Nash, and, ummm, well does Bill Wennington play anymore?

Isn't Riddick like 400 lbs. now? Maybe he could comeback to fight Butterbean, but anything else would be ugly. Hell, him and Butterbean would be ugly. Nevermind. Bad idea.

                          K1 is like kickboxing, right?

I heard sports moron Jim Rome recently on the radio talking about Tyson joining K1. He described K1 as being "ultimate fighting" and that Tysons fights would be predictable, meaning that he thinks Tyson won't win.

                            Rome said Tyson would loose??

I was watching boxing on ESPN the other night and one of the commentators had the following quip:

"The only K Sapp will be seeing in K1 if he fights in Tyson is a KO."

The ESPN guys were convinced Tyson would dispatch of Sapp quickly. As for any other K1 guys, they didn't mention anyone. That quote was so cheesy though you gotta love it.

Watch the last K1 in Vegas, and I must say that a lot of fighters lack a proper lowkick, because of that, Tyson might have gotten the wrong impression
even Remy Bonjasky could have thrown much more lowkicks ( if you listen you hear his corner shouting for it)
If Tyson loses it will most probably be because of the lowkicks doing their damage

Please will someone talk to Sapp, he realy does not want to get into the ring with Tyson. Tyson is going to murder him, in all seriousness, I have seen Sapp get knocked out with a weak right against a guy who was litterally half his size, Tyson will probably put him in a coma!!! Sapp is a tough guy with a big heart, however, I doubt he would even get through the initial build up to the fight with Tysons PR team putting the fear of God into him. I have seen fully grown men crumble during the build up. Tyson is a devastating puncher, not as quick as he used to be but still just as powerfull and he maintains the same old iron chin. He is a conditioned fighter and a street fighter aswell. He is also very close to Tito Ortiz and I am sure Ortiz will give him a few pointers.
In comparison to Tyson, Sapp looks like a fooloish chancer with a lot to prove. Now, someone like Ken Shamrock in his prime or Rixon Gracie would give Tyson a run for his money in a no holds barred tournamnet or even Tito Ortiz in a kickboxing match, that is not to say they will win but put up a bit of a fight atleast. Tyson hits with devastating power, I reckon a good solid jab would finish Sapp or a hard clashing of heads. Lets not forget Tyson took Holyfield the distance and has been hit with the hardest punches in the world, ever... I am tellinfg you, so listen carefully, Tyson in the first 15 seconds, no more... Bye Sapp, Bye....
