  • Woe is me.

I heard about some grappling thats going on in my area. Yes finally I can train I think. So I get a hold of the guys and they do striking on the ground, standup, oh I'm in heaven. But no, these guys only train in the morning because they have jobs in the afternoon. I'm so glad I go to school even though I have the equivelant to a diploma (better than GED). Who wants to train when I can take poetry and drama in the morning, these classes teach me valuable life skills. Well its quite a letdown to find out about this going on in my area but I have to go to school so I can't attend. Will I ever get to roll on a regular basis?

    Excuses, excuses

Dude a rooney are you trying to tell me that you dont have a Judo school anywhere near you? I think you arent looking hard enough. As for these morning classes it sounds like you is making excuses because poetry and drama dont give you valueable jack $hit. They just get you in touch with yer feminine side. If ya wants to be a man ya should be learning to fight.

MA: Patt does live in California, just is in exile in one of the few spots in CA where there isn't much in martial arts being offered. Patt lives in the hills.

                Hell, Patty,

I lived in NEBRASKA and worked a 3 to midnight shift at the computer firm.....PLUS I'M MARRIED....and still, I could find time to fit in two sessions on weekends.

If you look for it, it's out there. There's no excuse, buddy. Get out there and TRAIN. If I had held out and waited for people who share my martial arts ideals %100, I NEVER would have got a chance to roll with ANYONE.

Carpe diem! Just grab it by the nuts, swallow your pride, and visit your local Judo school to do some rudimentary rolling (That's what I did for six years). I think at this point of your grappling career, you might find that you're not as dominating on the mat as you might think.

                Happy rolling!

Yeah I'm saying there is no judo near me. Not that I would care much for Judo. Lacry did you even read my post. Training works alot better if you have training partners. 8914blahblah are you out of touch with the school system? I kind of have to go to those classes. I guess you are out of touch with sarcasm as well.

                        Patty,

Have no training partners? I guess that's why I organized my own grappling group after the Judo school went out of business. I went to the local McTKD school to get the bodies to roll with. Do anything it takes if you're really that serious about training. Hell, I used to commute three hours one way to Denver (once a week) to work out at a BJJ studio.

I'm sure there's SOMEONE out there that's at least HEARD of the UFC, or grappling, etc.
