Theres 3 schools by my house. these are my options
--- One teaches Kenpo Karate a 6th dan black belt. ( 80 dollars a month + 90 dollars initiation fee + i have to buy all equipment including dental dam)
---the other school they alternate between kickboxing and shindu ryu karate ( proffesor is a 23+ year old kid black belt dont know what rank. its 60 dollars a month , lessons 3x a week)
----last option is Brazilian jiu jitsu 150 dollars a month 3x a week , purple belt guy straight from brazil.

I havent able to find much info on that shindo ryu karate so if any one could post a good link i'd apreciate it. whats better for street self defense shindu ryu karate or kenpo karate. whats good for the price . thanks

The first should be to know what do YOU want? If you ask anonymous people to help you with this decision you are not sure about your wishes/needs
Maybe you should check some other seminars a few miles further. Black belt seems to be a must have for a good teacher to me (well this doesn't mean that he is REALLY a good teacher

        heres one

take you second choice because first of all the BJJ is way to expensive for a purple belt.

        first is just karate

but the second is the cheapest and and prolly the best

but if money is not a problem then do choice 2 and 3 but most people don't have that luxury.

My God! You might as well throw in an arm and leg... Go train at the YMCA or something...

I only pay $45 a month for BJJ lessons, and it's only $5 a lesson if you don't plan on attending an entire month.

For $150 a month, I could be doing BJJ, Boxing and some other MA...

Someone posted on the board a while ago saying that they found a cheap Dojo in Brooklyn that was like $140 a month. I guess it all depends on the area.
