LOOKING FOR FLORIDA FIGHTERS.....
The 2nd Free-Style Fighting Championship will be held again in South Florida on January 13. The rules are similar to shootfighting. Strikes are allowed to the body and legs but not to the head. You may throw leg kicks, knees,punches, etc., but to the body and legs only. On the ground, you may still strike but not to the head. So you can ground and pound to the ribs from the guard, throw knees to your opponent from the sidemount, etc. There is NO TIME LIMIT. That means no judges. You must win by a submission or by a body KO. All submissions are allowed (except finger manipulations, etc.).
The tournament is an 8 man tournament with three weight classes: Light (155 and under), Middle (156 to 189), and Heavy (190 and over).
There is no entry fee and the winner wins a nice Championship Belt (there is no prize money).
Our last tournament was great and we are hoping to make this one even better. WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ALL 3 WEIGHT CLASSES.
