Hi all,

Did anyone see this show last night on Channel 4 (UK)

It was about a disabled guy that was of normal size and strength but didnt have normal arms - they were about the length of a average persons upper arm.

He competed in a mixed martial arts event having never done it before. He trained for a few month with some good trainers and fought his opponent with just kicks.

He ended up with a draw on points. The other guy couldnt get past his kicks to get him down.

Although it seemed like the guy he was fighting was not really a grapler he still had a very hard time of it.

Quite entertaining.

sorry I couldnt see that, I enjoy a lot of what of what channel 4 puts out.
It does go to show, that it doesnt matter what you learn, so long as it works for you, and if you work really hard at it, that it will serve you well.

nah - he was going fo it - it was an amature bout so - no punches to the head but he was definatley going for it - I thought he would get slaughtered but - no - he did real good!

Chris, it was no grappling. Kicking to head and body, and punches to the body only.

Still, the guy had big balls.

Mind you, he couldn't fiddle with 'em anyway, poor guy.
