      There are a few ways to at least relieve the actual effects of the choke with a minimal of effort. Granted if someone wanted to straight out break your neck it'd be a lot harder to handle.

          Nope, I'm from California but I have a close circle of enthusiasts whom we all practice amongst/with. The only reverse for someone trying to legitimately break your neck in the guillotine is to jump with your legs and kind of pivot yourself using your left arm (if they hook your head with right) to try to have some counter pressure/torque.
