"So nobody here really uses their lead leg to probe or enter?" I do too. Maybe not as often as Khun Kao or as much as I should.
I use it offensively to see if I can get my opponent to react in a way that I can take advantage and get in for a score (IE lower his guard). I use it defensively to teep or to snap kick his ribs as he tries to close distance. I'll also use a rear leg side teep for this too.
I also like to jab (left lead) and lead leg round to the inside of his lead leg. Also if he isn't blocking with leg shields I'll throw a lead leg round kick to his body off of a jab. I know this isn't leading with a kick but it shows some of the versatility of the lead leg.
