i love these guys that come in here as a self proclaimed master and state to everyone "shut up because my art is superior"

it's not the style my friend, but the practioner. if you can't see things that are useful and blend all styles together then what good are you?

first off K1 isn't muay thai(no elbows to the head? c'mon!) , and niether is UFC, in fact i think everyone would agree UFC is pretty much BJJ, maybe MMA if anything....

Guro Inasontos i think has studied the arts you have in question, and for a 67 year old to find value in both says something...

all of these threads need to die, there are NOT superior arts. Espeically if you're comparing the McDojo schools against another. and that's practically an epidemic....

good luck sir, i hope one day you are confident in your art and do not need to ridicule others for the sake of your own securities

"first off K1 isn't muay thai(no elbows to the head? c'mon!)"

What is SO difficult to comprehend? The majority of the winners in K-1 is MT fighters. (even in K-1 Max)

        *sigh*

Nah, I wouldn't say that, Mark Hunt, Ray Sefo, Peter Aerts, Fransico Filho, Ernesto Hoost, Jerome LeBanner, none of them claim Muay Thai as there style, yet most of them have been champs.

It's funny how in north America everyone claims to have been a champion yet most if not all have never challenge a Thai Fighter and if they were to most if not all would lose against a Thai Fighter.

You get people claiming to be karate champions, kickboxing champions, tae kwon do champions etc.yet none have fought Muay Tha fighters professionally.

Sanda beats Muay Thai. Does that mean Sanda's better?

"Sanda beats Muay Thai. Does that mean Sanda's better?"

Absolutely not BECAUSE MT have beaten Sanda WAY MORE THAN Sanda have.

                *sigh*... Use your brain...

I was being sarcastic . I was merely implying that it's silly to compare the styles, since what really matters are the practitioners. You win some, you lose some. Anyways, I agree with Tekshow and hope some of the more immature people will get off their "my art is superior" mentality.
