  • How can I improve my punch&kick-condition??

    I've recently started to Muay Thai and find it very good and hard martail art training. My problem is that I get very tired easy, when it comes to punches and kicks. So I wonder if anyone have any tips on how to improve my condition?

    relax when you do them, don't try to destroy the whole dojo with each punch and kick, learn the technique first and stay relaxed


    oh and get some exercise.....!

      Eat during day especially before training and do your best to get lots of sleep during the night this way you won't be as tired during training.

      Also when first starting any type of exercise whether in sports or martial arts always start off slow then work your way up don't get stressed or upset when things go wrong, because it is expected when being a beginner.

      Keeping in shape is a good way to stay relaxed and to avoid getting tired during class.

      Keep in shape and improve your punches and kicks from hitting heavy bag,focus mitts,kicking shields,doing shadow boxing.

      Keeping in shape isn't always easy for everyone but some good ways of doing so is skipping,push ups,sit ups,a little bit of weights and you could even add in some aerobics.Shadow boxing not only is good for practicing techniques and improving focus but is also a good way to keep in shape while throwing punches.

      To work on both punches and kicks you can do kickboxercise. Ask your instructor for some help and clues as to what to do he should know.

        Don't neglect your road-work. Boxing is about 80% wind.

            Thai Bri...come on, you know I'm at least partially right. Oversimplified for the sake of space, but correct nonetheless! Without adequate wind-power (I'm sorry...aerobic conditioning) one won't last too long in the ring. Hot air...perhaps...but that's just because of all of the red-hot chilli peppers I eat.
