  • Pad Work, Combos, Going through Ranges & training exercises

I'm currently teaching Muay Thai more and more. To stop my students getting bored with the same old routines and to keep my private students happy and enjoy training, i was wondering if anyone had any useful training methods, combos, anything really, that i may not be currently doing as a teacher.

    Thanks for your help

    Wildchild,

I wouldn't mind giving up some training techniques and routines, but what are you currently doing? What is your format? Do you teach a "class" style or one on one?

What is your class like? Do you have fighters? What are the vairous levels of the students, newbies, intermideate?

What do you like to teach and what is your background with Muay Thai?

I think if you can give some examples of what it is your doing and what you want to do we can come up with a few ideas!

      Cheers

Yeah we have active fighters. I pride myself on keeping the classes interesting. At the moment I have them do 15 mins skipping, weighttraining, 2 km jog, Ab workouts, piggyback squats, plyometrics, aerobics and then Pad work.
We cover alot, i'm just looking for variations of the things we currently do, interesting training methods etc.

      Thanks for your help

        WildChild,

Here is a post I started not to long ago, it's pretty basic but very effective. Why don't you check it out.
