I train at WAT gym and I enjoy it. I believe the class rates have actually increased to $25 [I haven't been able to train for a few months].
Master K teaches at Renzo's Mon-Wed-Fridays and its $180 a month.
I don't know much about the Ultimate Gym [28th & 5th] but I have never heard anything good about Nester [the arrogant prick as a previous poster alluded too]

No prob Crushing Fist. I'll probably be back training at Renzo's and WAT in about a month. Maybe I'll see you there.
The only problem with training at Renzo's is that it gets quite expensive. $250 unlimited for BJJ, $180 for Muay Thai and they also have wrestling and Boxing instructors as well [I've talked to Lynn about maybe doing a package deal for guys who want to do everything so its not as expensive. He seemed receptive to it and was going to talk to Renzo about it. Hopefully they will go for it.
Good luck.

Renzo seems like a very nice & humble man, maybe since I'm only 18 (some people are nicer to youngsters lol just jokin who knows) he wants to talk to me . I hope I can train in BJJ + Muay Thai

Any particular system you're looking for? Grappling? Striking? Where exactly in Queens are you? What are your goals? Good training or to compete in MMA? You might have to do some travelling to get good quality training.
The only grappling school I know of is a Judo school in Forest Hills [I'm sorry I don't know the name] Queens is mostly oversaturated with Karate and TKD schools. So striking schools are scare.
The only karate school I would recommend is Kyokushin Karate at Kyokushin Total Fitness at 46-12 Queens Blvd in Sunnyside. They are full contact style of Karate.
I haven't heard any good things about Combined Martial Arts in Jackson Heights so I cannot recommend that.
Tiger Schullman's in Rego Park is a rip-off. They charge you to take a punching class, again for a kicking class, grappling, etc. They are very pricy so I would not suggest that if you are on a tight budget.
Good luck in finding a quality school. I hope I was able to help.

Thanks for the quick response. I live over in Maspeth, Queens and trek to Midtown everyday for work so any place in between would be ideal.
I was looking for Muay Thai instruction but I am always open to suggestions on things to try. Mostly I'm doing this for fitness so I don't think competing would cross my mind for a long time.
What types of things should I look for when I go check out a gym/instructor and what types of questions should I ask?

You should ask them what belt they have [degree black belt]N/a in Muay Thai. Are they certified? What governing body are they certified under? how many classes have they taught? Also be sure to ask if you can watch a class or take part in one [some usually charge a small fee for this]and take it from there.
Good luck
