  • more shin crap

Ok, i know that to make it so you don't hurt your legs you must deaden your nerves by kicking a bag softer than your shin, but what about iron body training. I have a teacher that teaches iron shin (im not in the class yet) and it is similar to the cokebottle technique but harder. In this you roll hard 40-60 pound steel cylinders on your leg. then you use a special herb treatment to help with any bruises(bone or skin) that you might get. A friend in it says it is supposed to make layers of bone on top of bone and that not only will it deaden your nerves it will also make you shins harder. So i quess any truth to this that you know of, or is this bs shaolin stuff.

the only way to make your shins harder is to lightly kick a sand bag or something similiar is density, every day, do this light enough not to get any bruises but hard enough to build up your shins. It will take anywhere from 3 months to a year to see improvements(everyone is different some get fast results some ppl take much longer to see the results), the key is doing it almost every day. O and what happens is over time you get a calcification over the shins and it makes it tougher. O and about the iron skin thing, I have no idea, i have never tried it and I've never heard of anyone trying it, maybe someone else on the board who has some personal experience can help you with that.

I doubt it will help, if anything it will deaden the nerves, but in the future the people doing it will be having bone surgery to repair the damage, its never a good idea to try to deaden your nerves or strengthen your shins with anything stronger than the bone, the shin is the hardest bone in the body anyway.
It should be enough without any extra bone.
Id seek a medical opinion though.
