  • New Thaiboxing book...

There is a new Thaiboxing book soon to be released written by Kru Tony Moore. It is called, Muay Thai - The Essential Guide to Mastering the Art. I was fortunate enough to be chosen as consultant for this book!

    Info about Tony Moore

For those of you who don't know, Ajarn Tony Moore is the President and Founder of the British Thai Boxing Council, the highest-ranking foreign graduate ever from the Buddhai Swan Swordfighting Institute of Ayuthaya, and the man Master Chai says "has done more for the promotion of the Thai National Martial Arts in Europe than any other person." And, incidentally, one of the funnest persons with whom I have ever had the pleasure to train. For people looking to train in Thailand, he has a school in Rayong, south of Pattaya Beach. In the UK, he teaches in Manchester. Both schools are called Sitsiam Camp, I believe.

      The book is out today

Yesterday I received an email from Tony Moore saying the book is now out. I forgot to say in my last post that he was also the Hong Kong muay Thai champ (I am not sure of the weight class) in 1988. His daughter fought for a while, and had 3 matches with Lucia Rjyker and, I believe, drew each time. Tony told me she had Lucia's poster on her wall since she was a small girl...lol And Stephen Moore, Tony's son, was the Pattaya champ when he was 12 and I believe is still active with Tony in the running of the Sitsiam Camp. Every August PiChai Moore hosts several instructors from the Buddhai Swan, as well as champions from several stadiums in Bangkok, to a Thai Festival in London & Manchester. He has even arranged for them to workout with Manchester United on occasion. I can see no downside to this book at all, for what my opinion is worth My apologies if I spelled Miss Ryjker's name wrong.
