I have been training Muay Thai under Khuen Kru Jeff Westfall at Rising Phoenix in Evansville, IN for the past 2 years. I am attending my first Oregon Camp and would like input on what to bring and what to leave at home. Thanks!! Be advised I'm flying in, so I will be somewhat limited on how much stuff I can pack.

I went in 03, and I think the location is different (not sure though), either way here are some suggestions:

 several pair of shorts
 several tank tops or t-shirts
 bunch of socks
 toiletries (duh)
2 pair of running shoes (one for the runs and one for training)
flip flops for going to showers
sweats and maybe a light jacket (it gets chilly at night and early morning)
 couple pair of hand wraps
 bag gloves
 thai pads
 groin guard
 mouth guard
and money (to buy gear sold there and for out in town)
 sleeping bag and pillow

This should all fit into one suit case and should be all you need. I may be forgetting a few things but don't think so.

Oh, be sure and ask Khuen Khru about the written test! Study! Especially the Thai/English vocabulary. Half the test is on this.

MOst improtant: Have a great time! It is an awesome experience and sooo much skill and talen is there.

 Good luck!
 Khuen Khru Pete Peterson

I'd take some cold weather gear. I remember camp Wilkerson was significantly colder than the other location. Sensei Paulson was there the year I attended camp Wilkerson and gave me a pair of his running leggings. That was super cool!
