thai bag filler?

Hello everyone,
I am gonna be buying a thai bag in a few weeks and I have a question. I know you can by a bag that is already filled, but it will be cheaper to buy a unfilled one. I thought I would buy an unfilled one, and then I would fill it myself. I thought I would go to a thrift store and get a bunch of old clothes cut them up into pieces and stuff it with that. IS that a good idea or should I do something else?

baby clothes or clothes thats what i've seen people fill them with.

Do i need to cut them into small pieces or if they are big pieces of material is that ok?

Just buy the filled bag. It sucks to fill a bag yourself.
