I second what Chalambok says. I was a bit nervous the first time I went. I have to say it was great, lots of good people and good training.
As for the stuff that gets covered, it has changed to some degree every time I have gone. Some of everything, clinching, kicks and knees, working alone or with a partner, with or without the pads. Some boxing drills. A huge amount of stuff.
Go it is worth it.

The only way you can impress Ajarn Chai is with good form and even better manners, so respect is the way to go. Also, if you really want to impress him, guzzle a gallon of OJ right before the seminar starts, and go 110% in the warm-up to the point of throwing-up. Ajarn Chai will then know that you are a hard worker. Right Ajarn Steve?

lol...I remember, after having thrown up twice a day, 4 times a weekend, for the first 11 seminars I did with Master Chai, the 12th seminar I did not puke and he was so happy for me. So, I would have to say yes, if you can stomach it, it is sure worth a try. Of course, back then, the last hour would be 5 kicks, 10 skip knees, 5 kicks. I have a videotape somewhere of Master Chai working with Mike Walrath and I on a Tuesday morning along the river path in Eugene. As I am walking off-camera saying "I have to throw up" he is turning to Mike and saying "You guys want some breakfast?"

Always respect. Always wai. Always Sir. Always Tang. Always Esh. Always hands up...if not in wai, then just up. (i.e. if he asks your name twice while holding the focus mitts, both times, sir, both times hands up in wai. if he turns around to address the class while holding for you...keep your hands up...he can see, and he WILL hit you with a kick or a backfist.)
Do not jump over the ropes of a ring, this will result in push-ups.
Give it you're all and have fun.
Adjarn Chai is my hero. Seriously, he is sooooo unbelievably cool. Aside from the technique and the muay thai stuff...the seminar is well worth the price of admission just to hear some of his stories and to see him move. (he is unreal...to be that quick is just unbelievable...he is inspirational.)
Discipline shouldn't be something you have to remember. It's due. Respect should be natural. And, don't be too afraid of him, he's a nice guy...just watch you're food around him.
