  • knees and elbows

I don't get it why don't the MMA fighters use their knees and elbows that much? I think the knee to the belly is the strongest move in Muay Thai. I see fighters always try to stay back. I think they should go inside more with the elbows and knees. This is what makes Muay Thai such a deadly art. I see so many Thai Fighters try to box American boxers. I think the best way to ko these guys is with knees and elbows. They see to be able to take a lot of pain and the kicks don't work that well either.

If I would have to guess, I would say because unlike MT, MMA fighters have to deal with ground/submission tecniques. Throwing a knee is riskier because if you get thrown, the ref doesn't stand you back up, the BJJ-trained guy jumps on you.
