First, it's kind of late so I'm just going to make the post. If you know of a thread and think I should just use the search function, say so (and gimme a hint on thread title too please). Anyway, to the post:A while back I quit my job. So I'm going to school, barely getting by, and still paying my dues to the gym I can't afford to drive to (at the moment, soon I'll have a new job and continue going). But during this time, and in the future when I am too busy to go to the gym, I want to train at home. So, does anybody know of a way to get a cheap banana bag or something to train on? The lower the cost the better.
Anyone got any good ideas on a "do it yourself" type project? One thing I thought of was a suggestion by an old teacher (for another MA). He suggested duct taping a pillow or two to a tree and then going at it (safely). While this would work, I don't exactly have a tree nearby and would have to do this elsewhere (at a location I haven't quite found yet).
Another thing would to be to check the used sporting goods stores. I just thought of that one and will get on that soon.
Anyway, hope that gets the ball rolling.
I'm just not that conditioned right now. It would be nearly impossible. But the couch leather pad is a good idea, thanks.
So can anyone think of some things to train with??
