Is there bullshit in Muay Thai also? Unfortunately, there are a lot of BS instructors in TKD and Karate. Is there also poor instruction in Muay Thai or is this a karate/TKD problem?

Yes, when systems start to become commercialized some watering down is almost inevitable. It's not as apparent since most MT practioners fight at some level or another but I've met a few claiming MT who couldn't kick a bad habit.

don't know about bullshit, but there are definately things which are overlooked in teaching. like spending too much time teaching beginners (me)combos and evasive moves which they would not be able to use, unless they have done a decent amount of sparring. like one of trainer says "i reckon, 1st 3 months should be straight punches only for these guys"

Dont forget that in a class of one instructor, they cannot focus on everyone at the same time, if they would, it would take a significant amount of time more than a regular class (depending on difference between skill levels of students). And btw, what kind of system allows someone who has no idea what they are doing become a trainer lol. At my gym it is important for someone to be learning themselves a great number of year to take an instructors test and gain permission to teach others. Unless your bank account is full and you have all the time in the world, i would guess someone would be pissed to learn their instructors is useless Nevertheless im sure it happens. Medic, but the sad part is that this would happen in thailand, only among certain peoples can this happen. Imagine some garbage people trying to train in thailand, how fast would that trainer be out of business. And i think its not only because its the national sport there, i think ignorance plays the major role here, just look at how many morons do certain martial arts i wont mention and think theyve chosen the right one... Just lucky they dont try out in tournaments besides their own.
