There are always braggarts who think themselves clever. They say of other boxing that at one glance they know it. They dont realise that while at one glance they knew it, if they look again they wont know it.
Skipping itself is great for footwork. Not normal haphazzard skipping, but the real thing. First bounce on one foot, then switch feet with every revolution of the rope, work up to veryfast pace. also try looking into footwork drills. always remember to move the foot closest to the direction u want to go. Good speed and stability come from good form, use of energy and coordination
In my camp, there were about 20 car tires put in two rows of 10 tires each row. My teacher tell me to jupm into the tire's hole of each row, from slower speed to maximum speed. I am not sure you can get the picture of this but it's really effective training, aprt from skipping.
I've been skipping for 20 minutes a day for about 3 days - not much I know, but I was sparring yesterday and could feel a dramatic improvement in my speed and mobility already
Gonna keep on skipping and try these other techniques too
