Thanks for clarifying your posts. I was confused a bit. Perhaps you can give us some news about how the King's Cup 2006 went? Funny how, in the best USA Thai boxer thread, no one even thought to bring up Americans who have done quite well there, a good example being Bryan Popejoy. He won Gold, I believe, in '94 or '95, and now runs Boxing Works Gym in Hermosa Beach, California. He trained at Fairtex in Bangkok and for a while at a small gym in Changwattana managed by an executive for Singha Beer. Nice to see some gyms in Thailand contributing to this forum.

The Kings Birthday this year had loads of fights plus an eight man 67kg tornamment and an 8 man heavyweight tournamnet.
I think a russian won the heavy weights and a Thai from sipolek gym won the 72kg. There was loads more fights but i didnt see anyone from USA.
The comp where they give medals would be the WMC World Titles with many countries. We will have a few peopel preparing for them in our gym so i will keep you posted on the results when the competition is on.
