They say the muay thai kicks are the most powerful.
I don't mean to be nasty, but we're talking about roundhouse kicks here... and not a single kick tested there was a roundhouse, the karate was a side kick, the kung fu was a jumping double kick, the TeaKwonDo was a spinning back kick and the Muay Thai was a knee!! They're measuring completely different kicks... the thing is pro, you've got to look at what they measured there - different fighters using different kicks. At absolute best you could say that the Muay Thai knee is stronger than a side kick, jumping double kick or a spinning back kick... but you can't even say that, because they're using different fighters to do each of them, the Muay Thai guy might have just been stronger all round.

when i'm practicing with a class, we allways try and get descant chambering, but when sparring it's more of a snap kick. Some kicks may just depend on where i'm putting them. If its a reverse round house to a thigh, then i'd probably get a full chamber, but if its a double round house from the lead leg, then about a half chamber primarily for speed.
