    hello,

always fun to brainstorm about names. in the end you and your brother will decide.

consider the location, and the "mood" of the gym. the very place itself should have a "feel" to it. this will be a combination of the physicallity of the gym (decor, equipment) and of the instruction.... the flow of the place. you two know best what kind of instruction you will give.

aggressive hard core.... laid back but heavy cardio..... or whatever.

pick a name that will reflect all these things. the location name, the family name, the mood name... these should all come together for you.

ask some of the people in the community where you will locate the school. they may have some good ideas for you. it will give you insight into how they perceive you, your brother and the sport. these will be the people keeping you in business.

    thanks.

why not just be sensible and name it after the area it is in.
at least people will know where it is when your guys win.

i really cant stand all these hyped up names like ripped knuckles gym and crap like that, if you are from say, denver, call it dever thai boxing. its not imaginitive, its also not rediculous, its a gym name.

[fill in your family name] Brothers Gym (or Muay Thai Academy or Boxing Academy, or whatever).

The important thing is that you use your name. Your family name up on that sign will focus and inspire you both to strive for excellence in every aspect of how you conduct your business.

Your own name on the sign speaks of pride and commitment and dedication to run a reputable business and school.

When you're introduced to someone and they ask, "Oh, are you involved with that gym?" Your reaction (pride, embarrassment, etc.) will be a major factor in your success.

Feel free to use this concept in your mission statement or marketing brochure.
