  • Muay Thai schools around Quad Cities?

Any recommendation of Muay Thai schools in the Quad Cities area? I know the Miletich camp is there, but I think they focus on MMA style training (correct me if I am wrong). If you know of any traditional Muay Thai or Kickboxing schools, please let me know

There's 2 guys I know of if you want to make a drive.

    1) Dave Rogers is supposed to be an awesome instructor and I believe he's training people at the bloomington/normal YMCA. They only train 2 nights a week though, which sucks if you have class on those two times like me.

    2) http://www.peoriaathleticclub.com/ Peoria Athletic Club. I think they're supposed to be good, I called them up and they do a free week of classes, so I'm headed to check them out. According to their "athletes" page, one of silverbacks drives out from your area to get his thai/boxing practice there.

I was IMing a guy on here last year when I was looking for a thai school, I forget who, and he mentioned he [Dave, not the guy I was talking to] used to train people in his garage? If you know him, does he still do that or is it strictly those two nights a week at the YMCA? I'm trying to avoid the 40 minute commute to peoria.

That guy Dave is a poser. And that guy Ryan in in Peoria is a 98lb weakling. I would kick both of their asses but I wouldnt want to have that much shit on my boots.
