  • Comfortable chest guards

I'm a small woman, 5'2" 115lbs. I'm looking at getting this for my classes:

    Twins Special Body Protector

Anyone wear one? I'm looking for a good protector and trying to find reviews. I find with most chest protectors, I can't get my arms across my body or punch properly. Appreciate any feedback.

No one uses this, really? I was hoping to buy something soon as I really need this for my class but I was hoping to get some reviews.

Hi L aura. Sorry no one posted to help. I have never used a chest protector nor anyone that I know. But they do use them in competition in the amateur muay thai fights and I believe they use the twins one or somethign similar in thailand they are probably pretty much all the same(each company generally copies the other). So I imagine this will work for you. Maybe someone who competed at the amateur level can help. But I went to one amateur competition and they did wear that chest protector, shin guards, elbow pads, gloves and headgear.

Hello, thank you for the reply. Actually I wanted something that I could use in my other martial arts classes, one of which is Wing Chun. I'm always getting hit in the chest instead of the ribs when we do drills. I guess the guys in the class have poor aim? Thanks again for your reply.

Dont know how these things actually feel since I never wore one but I guess you have to find what works for you. What about the shorter simpler chest protectors women have to wear when they box? There must be good ones for that since women box in amateurs and golden gloves etc. That might suit you better in class? Check for the best for women's boxing. I know alot of brands like everlast, adidas make them-- It might suit you better in class and then for fighting or sparring later if need be-- the full body protector. It must get hot under the full body one. I think the shorter one would do you better in a wing chun class. My friend did wing chun and they straight blast into center mass of the other person or target, getting hit in the ribs wouldnt be too nice, bruised ribs take a long time to heal! That i know about!.

          something maybe along these lines:

my girlfriend trains with us and she always wears a padded sports bra to class plus she has the boxing short one which is more like a plastic molded plate that fits under theshirt plus she has full body protector for hard sparring-getting punched in the chest for a woman isnt pleasant by any means so its important to pad up properly ..sometimes guys dont understand.
