Lion Fight Promotion’s has released their poster for the epic showdown between Frenchman Gregory Choplin and Yodsanklai Fairtex at “Lion Fight 8″ taking place January 25th, 2013 inside “The Joint” at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The event will take place on Friday night to accommodate the Friday Night Fights broadcast on AXS TV.

Muay Thai Fans around the world will need to tune in to this historic night of the first national broadcast of Muay Thai in the United States.

I watched this event and i have watched better smoker fights it was a huge disappointment only fights on the card worth watching were yod vs choplin and alexis rufus vs tiffany van soest the rest of the card was pretty much amateurs. Maliapets fight was the first one and the guy was done when maliapet checked a leg kick. Kevin ross played with his opponent for 5 rounds and the other girls that fought had less than 5 fights between them and performed horribly. I waited for this event for a few months and it was just a let down. Its not worth digging videos up if they do surface george.

Thanks, Tenzen. I saw the yod fight and he was just toying with the guy then put him away. Sad because it was a great chance to show top notch muay thai at its best.

It was the perfect opportunity. They needed higher caliber fighters. Hopefully they realize that and the next show is better. But I just hope that the first show didnt ruin it for possible new fans. Maybe an all champions card would be a good idea. Fill the card with lumpini and rajadamnern champs and maybe some of the dutch guys and a few from cambodia. Then they would have a showcase. I wont give up on the promotion yet lets see what the next card looks like.
