With the rise of San Shou and Thai boxing in America, does anyone think that Full Contact rules kickboxing has a future?-thanks.

That depends on what full contact means. I think it would draw bigger crowds that simple grappling matches. Striking is always more exciting to watch than grappling, especially if you haven't a clue as to what's going on in a grappling contest.

Kickboxing has been around for awhile and people just don't get into it as much as boxing. But if crap keeps happening like the Tyson Show, then who knows....

I truly hope so. I was home from work one afternoon and was fortunate enough to see Alex Gong destroy an opponent on ESPN2. I also love to watch Cung Le fight-- he has such a great combo of clinching and striking, not to mention his patented suplex.

I wish there was a channel dedicated to the martial arts or at least ring sports (WWF not included-- that's another story, not a sport per se). Hopefully people will be more open to MT & full-contact stuff.
