For Teacher's Day (Oct. 16), do students usually organize/arrange/ship the gifts to Ajarn Chai on their own, or is there a particular flower/gift shop in the Carson area that we can call? (I was just thinking that they might do a nicer job if we contacted a place out there) Thanks...

this is just my opinion but...... i would imagine that you would give gifts to whoever your immediate instrutor is. not that it would be wrong to send ajarn chai a gift but since he is never in one place for more than 3 days, i would imagine if you train somewhere else to give the gift to who you are closest with. i dont think ajarn chai would take offense to that. of course if you feel like you have a closer relationship to master chai than others then go for it. i for one will take care of the one who has introduced me to chai, who also happens to be my immediate instructor. just my 2cents.

I appreciate what you are saying. But, being that I have attended 2 of the Oregon camps and also travel to his seminars when he is on the East Coast, I am thinking that in addition to taking care of my immediate instructor that it would also be appropriate to send the gifts to Ajarn.
