  • About weak knees ?

How do you know if you have weak knees ? How do you know, (if
there is such thing) as weak kneecaps ? If you have weak knees, does it mean that your type of individual does not fit in Muay Thai ?

If Muay Thai suits you, then what ? Are you skinny ? Are Thai Boxers skinny, with muscles ? Are you naturally weak, but can be strong in a way ? Erm, I am confusing myself. I need replies !!

Muai thai suits everbody fat or skinny doesn´t matter. Look at the thaiboxers from thailand they are quite skinny but despite thism, they kick like .....hmm very hard. These guys are very hard almost like a Swedish Viking )
Of course it hurts a lot to practise thai boxing but like we use to say in Sweden: pain witch doesn´t kill make you stronger.
Take it eazy and remember live hard die young.

Ps. sorry for my language ds.

Actually, since I began Muay Thai, my knees do not ache like they did when I was in Taekwon-Do! I believe this is because, in TKD, we did a lot of forms training where you kick without resistance and lock your knees out. In MT, you never extend the leg all the way out and are usually kicking something that provides resistance (i.e. thai pads, heavy bag, sparring partner, etc.) This does not mean that you will not tear an ACL or anything! You can suffer a serious knee injury in any sport or athletic activity. Don't worry too much about it. Just train.
