If I take laser eye surgery would I get blind if I get punched in the Eye, or anywhere on the head ? I can see pretty clear when its close but when it gets pretty far in distance, it starts to get a bit blurry (so if I was in the gym watching a game, I can`t tell faces and if someone is giving me the finger, I wouldn`t really notice the middle finger pointing at me). But was just wondering if it`s worth taking the surgery.

is it worth it? i wouldn't think so. Cant you just use contacts?

i would say glasses are the way to go, not surgery.

after the sugery you wont have any higher chance of going blind from being pucnhed then you did before the surgery(this relates to being punched only, im not sure of the risks involved in the surgery)

I have had laser eye surgury (lasik) on one of my eyes. My vision is better but not 20/40 or better. so I will be having it done again to try to enhance it.

      This is what I know.

If you have it done you must wait at least 2 months before risking any contact to the eye.

You do not risk going blind, but you can damage the flap and that would cause you to lose your vision and it may not be able to be corrected to 20/20.

I had it done almost 3 months ago and I still have trouble reading or looking at things in low light.

There is also a risk that your vision could be damaged permenently and not be correctable if you have it done.

If you decide to do it I would do your research. Even then no one can tell you how it will go for you until you do it.
