    Does any other schools or instructors still teach these type of footwork ? Horse type seems interesting. But would anyone ever use these footwork in the ring ??

      Yeah, I've seen this type of footwork before, it was taught to me by my Karate master. It's actually common sense if you think about it. The thing about that article though, he's not describing how you should shift your body weight from leg to leg. There must be a certain emphasis on how you change the weight, if not, you lose much of the "smoothness" of the movement. If you are interested in more info feel free to PM me.
