Umm, yeah. So anyone here stopped training and going to their gym in some areas because they are afraid fo getting SARS? Cause if I was you I`d be freaked out already
dont know what SARS is but always been told not to go to the gym with a cold as it can spread like wild fire & people training for a fight will go mad if somebody comes in the gym with the flu etc...
.........you dont know what SARS is?........i supposed thats a good thing. lol.
No one comes to training (i would hope) that has a contagious illness.
SARS is a "mystery" illness (they have located the virus that causes SARS but i dont think they have figured out how its transmited or how to stop it) wich has popped up out of nowhere and is proceding to cause big problems.
in Toronto 2 hospitals have already been closed, and hundreds of people quarentined. (not sure the exact number, but over a hundred i *think* lol) 6 people have died from it in the past couple of weeks.
have anyone of them been traveling in asia specificaly china? the Symptons are flu like. aching muscles, fever..... im not sure if there are many cases where you are. CNN said that only 109 people in the US brought the virus back from china and since then only 9 people have contracted it. (i think there are alot more unconfermed cases though)
pretty much you have to come into close contact with someone who has SARS (but doctors arent sure exactly how it is transmited)
i only know what iv heard from the news, for some reason we got hit relativly hard here in Toronto.
im not sure if there are any early warning signs....your in the netherlands right? i dont even know if there is one case of SARS there so i wouldn't worry about it.

No SARS cases in Japan as of yet, but I`ve many friends in Singapore and Hong Kong. From what I`ve heard about Ontario (and this is straight off the cbc site) is that you don`t have to worry so much unless you work in a hospital or you have recently visited Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, or any other infected Asian country. The large number of cases in Ontario was the result of a hospital putting an infected patient in a general ward by mistake. This patient subsequently infected a large number of health-care workers. You might want to look up the WHO website, there`s probably up-to-the minute info there.
