Someone said that Muay Thai is banned in some parts of Canada. Any truth to that?

I believe there are sanctioning difficulties in certain provinces. It is in fact a provincial matter, not federal. Alberta has full contact (elbows and knees) whereas Ontario just sanctioned padded fights (shin-guards, headgear, and I believe chest protectors...) the camtao should know. www.camtao.com
