After I got back I enter my apartment, open the door to my floor, then notice a dog roaming around IN THERE OUT OF NO WHERE. There was actually 2 doors, the dog was right between in there. I was just there, I was like WTF ? It was coming up to me, looked like it was about to attack me but, I feel like a little sissy now, the dog wasn't even barknig or anything. I just slammed the door and went through the other way, Even though if it wasn't going to attack me, better safe than sorry, ya know. I had no clue what kind of dog it was, but it kinda look like a pit bull.

I am just asking, what the hell can a small 14 year old boy without any *real* martial arts training can do. The last time I got attacked by a dog was long time ago, about 6-8 years ? Back in the Philippines, dog chased me (I tried to run inside but then my aunt accidentally crushed my head on the sliding door because she was also nervous as she tried to keep me away and the dog was like 1 metre away from me lol), felt sorry for the dog because after a few days my dad shot in right in the head due to all the problems it has given around the neighbourhood. (but what can I do, weird stuff happens in a country like that) I had no clue what kind of dog it was.

So again, can I ask about your personal experiences on animal attacks ? Also do you think if you trained in Muay Thai or Boxing, doing a low kick on the dog's wherever weak area I am guessing side or just a simple kick right no its nose.

BTW I also tried a search on this and didn't find much, except killing or running away, and you really think a 14 year old kid can do that, well not me...
surely you can kick a pitbulls ass... im just playing with you man, but if you see a pitbull, your best bet is to run and kick it in the mouth if you get a chance...if not, run for your life and hope the pitbull gets tired of chasing you...

My crazy, world-traveling WWII Marine of a grandfather had this to say about dog attacks:

Hold out your hat so that the dog can bite it. It's head is now the perfect distance for a low front kick to the jaw. Theoretically the kick should cause him to bite his tongue, and he'll run away yelping.

Not that he ever claimed to have actually tried this. And did I mention he was crazy?

When I was about four or five I was walking with my dad and a dog came running up barking and such. My dad gave it a hammer fist to the head and knocked it out. The only way to stop most dogs is to make it impossible for them to keep attacking. That's the whole problem with dog attacks. They don't stop until one of you is done.

True, what I intended to say was that pain will not stop a determined dog.
