    hey guyz although taichi isn't related to muay thai forum but just wanted to cosult u and take ur opinion do u think tai chi is effective in fights or street fights

    Basically, no. It has the potential to be, but it is the exception that you would find someone that will teach valid application. and of those teachers a smal % that teach correctly. see chris2000 post on the funniest thing ever, and alleged master reaching push hands ....funny but sad

      i don't know about that i saw a documentary on taichi on national geography ,there was a taichi practioner he was the head of the monestary anyway he showed a fight between him using taichi cause that what he does and another guy attacking but u can realize that the guyz is letting the master droping or throwing him on the floor while if the other guy used his full force and power he would've done real damage...

      p.s. the taichi master was going full power with his hits so it wasn't a show.

              My mma instructor used to talk about combat tai chi once and awhile, as far as I know about tai chi(which aint much), they use weapons in the system and fighting techniques, it's not only grandma touchin her toes and making everyone in your local park want to cut their wee wee off.
